About Albany Pumps

Albany Engineering Limited has established a high reputation throughout the world as a manufacturer of Positive Displacement Pumps.

We have concentrated on developing and refining a wide range of products which include many specialist positive displacement pump applications, especially gear and screw pumps.

Albany started making gear pumps in London over 100 years ago, but the factory was destroyed in the second world war and now operates from a well equipped plant in the West of England near to Bristol.

In recent years Albany has acquired five gear pump competitors in the UK and expanded its presence in niche markets. In 2000 Albany has expanded into the manufacture of twin screw pumps with capacities to 300m³/hr and above by purchasing Stothert & Pitt pump designs which also brings heavy duty internal lobe pumps and large centrifugal pump designs to Albany.

We now offer cargo handling pumps for liquids from Molasses to light hydrocarbon fuels.
At the forefront of modern technology Albany is the UK's largest producer of specialist gear pumps, and has the capacity to handle large volume contracts as well as singular bespoke applications.

Our design service can meet the special needs of plant engineers and OEMs quickly and efficiently. A flexible engineering approach is backed by an exhaustive applications library of tried and tested solutions to most pumping problems. Our experience of engineering high quality, purpose-built pumps has been applied to our standard ranges, providing excellent performance and value for money.
